About Us

The origins of Freemasonry trace back to the operative stone mason guilds during the construction of King Solomon’s Temple. Through centuries of persecution, war, and exploration, the legacy of Freemasonry evolved, eventually leading to the establishment of the Grand Lodge of Florida and, later, Tampa Bay Lodge No. 252, Free & Accepted Masons.

Tampa Bay Lodge No. 252 was officially chartered on April 23, 1925, in Safety Harbor, Florida.

The Lodge is proud to count among its members some of the finest men in Pinellas County, many of whom have served with distinction as Worshipful Masters. Notable Past Masters include several members of the respected McMullen and Booth families.
